High above the wild and unspoiled southern coast of Crete, near the famous Preveli Monastery and the palm-lined beach of the same name, the unique, built in traditional Cretan style and modernly furnished apartments of VILLA STELLA guarantee relaxing days amidst the unspoiled beauty of southern Crete.

A short walk of about three minutes takes you down to the picturesque mountain village of Mírthios, below the impressive Kotsifoú Gorge.

In addition to several recommended taverns with their panoramic terraces, you’ll also find souvenir shops offering Cretan products and handicrafts, as well as two kafenions/mini-markets with a modest selection of food and beverages.

Thanks to its unique location in the center of the island, Villa Stella is the ideal starting point for day trips in all directions and to the many attractions on Crete. For example, the north coast, with the beautiful port city of Rethymnon, is only about 35 km away.

The Stella Vacation Villa offers a breathtaking view of Plakiás Bay.

Plakiás and the sea, with its beautiful long sandy beach, are just a good quarter of an hour’s walk away. The path leads down the mountain through olive groves.

Almost like a swallow’s nest, the houses are perched on the hillside above the picturesque mountain village of Mírthios.
Nevertheless, they are easily accessible both on foot and by car.

By car, it’s just under 3 kilometers down the paved road to Plakiás. There you’ll find everything you need for daily life, plenty of tourist attractions, as well as a German-speaking doctor and a pharmacy.
